Homemade Pizza Recipe With Nut-Free Vegan Mozzarella

This vegan pizza recipe from ‘Plantifully Based’ Youtube channel is surprisingly complete – homemade pizza crust, homemade nut-free mozzarella cheese, and a pizza sauce made by adding a few magic ingredients to a store-bought pasta sauce.

If you do not want to make your own pizza base, you can, of course, use a store-bought one. The good thing is, the recipe leaves enough room for flexibility and creativity.

The homemade pizza base is made from all-purpose flour, to which a mixture of yeast, sugar, and water is added. The base is partly pre-baked before the sauce and cheese are spread on it.

The pizza sauce in this recipe is actually pasta sauce modified using a few more ingredients, but why not buy a pack of pizza sauce if you are buying at a store?

The vegan cheese is the most surprising of all. It is mostly cauliflower, boiled, and then blended with nutritional yeast, tapioca starch, and plant-based milk. When this bled is heated in a pan, it takes on the consistency of melted cheese.

The plant-based milk used in the vegan cheese can be any milk of your choice, but it should be unsweetened. I guess soy milk will work best you are ok with that or otherwise use any other unsweetened milk.

There you go. Assemble your fully homemade vegan pizza and bake it for a few minutes. I feel inspired already.
